1960s

The Mack Company was founded in New Jersey in 1962 as a family-owned private company involved in all aspects of commercial real estate operations, including property development, management and acquisition. The company has roots going back to the turn of the 20th century, when the Mack family was involved in related real estate businesses in New York such as demolition and residential and industrial development.

1970s-1990s

The Mack Company owned or controlled properties totaling approximately 20 million square feet, including 5.9 million square feet of Class A office space, with 4.9 million square feet in New Jersey and another 1 million square feet among seven additional properties in New York, Arizona, Florida and Pennsylvania. Notable office developments in New Jersey include Mack-Cali Centres IV, VI and VII, Kemble Plaza I and II, among many others.

William Mack, senior managing partner of The Mack Company, an active investor in real estate for over 35 years, and his brothers Earle, David and Fred have owned a broad range of real estate investments.
