Largest Corporate Donation in Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County History to Sponsor Sports Program

JERSEY CITY, NJ--September 16, 1997--Cali Realty Corporation (NYSE:CLI) and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County today announced that Cali Realty has agreed to sponsor the 1997-98 Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County/Cali Realty Corporation Sports Program with a $100,000 donation.

Cali's sponsorship, the largest corporate donation in Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County history, will finance the entire 1997-98 Sports Program. The donation will underwrite the hiring of a sports program director, referees for the games, transportation and travel, entry fees and uniforms for all the Hudson County Boys & Girls Clubs' basketball teams.

Brant Cali, Chief Operating Officer of Cali Realty Corporation, and Gary Greenberg, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County, made the joint announcement at a reception held yesterday for Boys & Girls Club members, local officials and community leaders at the Jersey City offices of the Boys & Girls Clubs.

Gary Greenberg, commented, "Cali's commitment to our sports program transcends winning basketball games, but rather holds a larger impact on the lives of our youth. Cali's significant donation will allow our kids to grow and learn about teamwork and responsibility through competition in the best tournaments around the country. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County, Inc. is a private youth development organization which provides services to over 2,300 school-age children in Jersey City and Hoboken.
