Company to Donate up to $75,000 in Services to Improve Sayen Gardens

Cranford, New Jersey—October 2, 2002--Mack-Cali Realty Corporation (NYSE: CLI) today announced it will donate up to $75,000 in services to improve Sayen Gardens, a public park in Hamilton Township, New Jersey.

Mack-Cali will install an underground irrigation and sprinkler system and perform other improvements to the park, which is undergoing a complete upgrade by Hamilton Township. Upgrades to the park, located at Mercer Street and Hughes Drive, also include new benches, a pond, fountains, and landscaping.

Mitchell E. Hersh, chief executive officer of Mack-Cali, commented, "We're happy to build on our alliance with the Hamilton Township community and to enhance the quality of life for both its residents and business community." Mack-Cali owns Horizon Center, a four-building business park in the Township, and is nearing completion on a build-to-suit office property for Verizon New Jersey, also at Horizon Center.
