Award Presented for Connecticut Office Building

Cranford, New Jersey—November 5, 2003—Mack-Cali Realty Corporation (NYSE: CLI) today announced that it has received the 2003 Office Building of the Year ("TOBY") award for Soundview Plaza, a 179,260 square-foot class A office building in Stamford, Connecticut. The award was recently presented by the Southern Connecticut Chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) at its Awards Gala.

The TOBY award is based on excellence in office building management, where all facets of a property's operations are evaluated including building maintenance, tenant relations programs, and community involvement. Soundview Plaza, located at 1266 East Main Street, won the award in the 100,000 — 249,999 square-foot office building category.

Mark Durno, Mack-Cali vice president of property management for the Westchester/Connecticut region, who accepted the award, commented, "We are especially pleased to be recognized for our expertise as an owner and manager of premier office properties in Connecticut, since Fairfield County is one of our core Northeast markets."

After acquiring Soundview Plaza in 2002, Mack-Cali made major enhancements to the building's entry plaza, surveillance system, cooling tower, emergency generator, and parking garage.
