Mack-Cali's Hersh Elected to NAREIT Board of Governors

Cranford, New Jersey—November 11, 2004—Mack-Cali Realty Corporation (NYSE: CLI) today announced that Mitchell E. Hersh, president and chief executive officer, has been elected to the board of governors of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT).

As a member of the board of governors, Hersh will be responsible for helping to maintain NAREIT's mission and purpose and for overseeing the promotion of the organization and its programs. The board of governors consists of 60 senior executives from across the real estate industry. Its 22 new members officially began their term on November 1, 2004.

NAREIT is the national trade association for real estate investment trusts (REITs) and publicly traded real estate companies. Members include REITs and other businesses that own, operate and finance income producing real estate, as well as firms that advise, study and service those businesses.
